Schloss Untergröningen, Renaissance château in Abtsgmünd, Germany
The stone château stands on a mountain spur of Frickenhofer Höhe in Baden-Württemberg, featuring Renaissance architectural elements and 18th-century modifications.
First documented on November 7, 1351, the castle changed hands multiple times before its transformation into a château by Christoph III Schenk von Limpurg-Gaildorf in 1564.
The KISS art association organizes temporary exhibitions of contemporary art within the château, making it a center for modern artistic expression.
Visitors can access the château on Saturdays between 14:00 and 18:00, and during public holidays from 11:00 to 18:00 at Schloss 1, Abtsgmünd-Untergröningen.
The château houses three distinct organizations: the Catholic church community, the KISS art association, and the local history association under one historic roof.
