The Altenberg Tower extends 42.5 meters into the sky from its position at 564.7 meters above sea level in the Schwäbisch Hall district of Baden-Württemberg.
The construction and opening of the Altenberg Tower in October 2007 marked a new chapter for the highest point in the Limpurg Hills region.
The tower features metal plates with geographical information, allowing visitors to identify landmarks across the Swabian-Franconian Forest and surrounding landscapes.
Visitors can reach the tower through a 300-meter graveled path from the parking area east of Hohenberg, with entry fees of 1.50 euros for adults.
From the observation platform, viewers can see the Kaiser mountains, Hohenlohe plains, Ellwanger mountains, and Ostalb in a single panoramic sweep.
