Undosa, Wave pool and architectural structure in Starnberg, Germany.

The Undosa facility featured a 60 by 15 meter water basin with a steam-powered wave generation system and a ten-meter diving platform.

Constructed in 1905 at Lake Starnberg, the Undosa represented the first wave-generating machine, utilizing pontoons to create artificial waves through water displacement.

The facility maintained separate bathing times for men and women until the introduction of family bathing hours allowed mixed visits to the pool.

Access to the wave pool required an entrance fee of 60 pfennigs, with an additional 20 pfennigs charge for spectator stand admission in 1908.

The wave generation mechanism operated through large pontoons pressing down on the water surface, while sand from the Main River created an artificial beach.
