The double chapel within the castle complex reflects medieval social hierarchies through its architectural design, with separate worship spaces for nobility and commoners.
Visitors can access the castle through Burgstrasse, entering the outer courtyard via the Himmelstor gate adjacent to the Hasenburg defensive tower.
The Sinwell Tower, constructed in the 13th century as the main keep, contains a deep well that dates back to the original foundation of the castle.
