Schloss Uebigau, Neobaroque castle in Uebigau-Wahrenbrück, Germany.
Schloss Uebigau is a single-story castle in Uebigau-Wahrenbrück built in 1904 with neobaroque and Art Nouveau architectural features. The structure displays corner projections and a tower, set within a park of about two hectares that includes a pond.
The castle was built in 1904 for Georg von Bismarck, nephew of the Reich Chancellor, who made substantial improvements to the property. Following a period of decline, it underwent major renovations starting in 1996 and began operating as a municipal hostel in 1990.
The grounds feature mature trees and a pond arranged according to traditional German landscape design, inviting visitors to explore and linger. The open spaces reflect how such estates were meant to blend architecture with nature for everyday enjoyment and respite.
The castle operates as a hostel offering overnight accommodations and is accessible to visitors during operating hours. The grounds and building can be explored on foot, and the relatively compact layout makes orientation easy for those visiting the property.
Each February and March, the castle park displays numerous snowdrops collected from across Europe. These early flowers turn the grounds into a special sight during the transition to spring and offer a memorable natural display.
