Wiepersdorf manor

Wiepersdorf is a manor house with baroque elements and spacious rooms connected by a wide staircase featuring stone balustrades. The grounds include a sunken garden and an orangery built in 1889, which together form the architectural composition.

The von Arnim family acquired the property in 1780 and later made it a center of German literature and Romanticism. The couple Achim and Bettina von Arnim shaped the place from 1814 onward and drew notable writers into their circle.

The manor served as a gathering place for writers and artists who connected with the von Arnim family and used it as a center for creative work. This role as an artists' house continues today when international creators work in its spaces and develop new pieces.

The manor is located in Brandenburg and is open for visits, public readings, exhibitions, and cultural events that take place regularly. Visitors should check in advance what events are being offered and note the opening hours to plan their visit accordingly.
