Schloss Planitz, Heritage castle in Niederplanitz, Germany.
The castle features baroque architecture with classical Greek pediments supported by pilasters on each facade of the inner courtyard.
Founded in the 12th century, Schloss Planitz underwent multiple reconstructions before its major renovation in 1712 for Johann Georg von Arnim.
The castle grounds include a romantic park designed between 1868 and 1872 under the direction of Countess Isolde von Arnim.
The castle now functions as the Clara-Wieck high school, accommodating approximately 500 students since its renovation from 1991 to 1993.
The castle park contains an 18th-century Chinese tea pavilion and spans 7.3 hectares with interconnected spaces designed by garden artist Carl Eduard Petzold.
