Château de Sandhorst, Manor house in Aurich, Germany.

The stone manor house stands on the foundations of a former southern wing, featuring traditional East Frisian architectural elements and a surrounding garden landscape.

Count Ulrich II constructed this pleasure palace between 1647 and 1648 for his wife Juliane von Hessen-Darmstadt during the Thirty Years' War period.

The palace grounds included a chapel with an organ created by Jost Sieburg, reflecting the religious and musical traditions of 17th-century East Frisia.

The building now functions as a guest house for Enercon company, following extensive renovations completed in 1976 to maintain its structural integrity.

Prince Georg Albrecht, the penultimate local ruler, spent his final moments at this palace on June 12, 1734, despite court preferences for alternative locations.
