Amanda

The Amanda Mill stands 32 meters tall, making it the largest windmill in the Schleswig-Holstein region of northern Germany.

Built in 1888 for 80,000 gold marks, the mill operated continuously until 1964, processing grain for the local community.

The third floor contains a special ceremony room where many local and visiting couples hold their wedding ceremonies.

The tourist information office occupies the first floor, providing regional information and a collection of local products for visitors.

During winter celebrations, the Dutch-style mill creates a bright display when its sails become illuminated against the night sky.
