The Schlachtberg summit rises from the southeastern edge of the Kyffhäuser mountain range, near the town of Bad Frankenhausen.
The Schlachtberg gained historical significance as the location of the Battle of Frankenhausen during the German Peasants' War in 1525.
Werner Tübke created a monumental panoramic painting depicting the Battle of Frankenhausen, measuring 123 meters wide and 14 meters high.
Visitors can reach the summit through marked hiking trails that connect to the wider network of paths across the Kyffhäuser mountain range.
The summit offers views of both the Kyffhäuser Monument and the surrounding Goldene Aue valley, spanning across central German landscapes.
