Adam-Stegerwald-Haus
Adam-Stegerwald-Haus, Historical conference center in Königswinter, Germany.
The Adam-Stegerwald-Haus features a three-story plaster structure with side projections, a hipped roof, and wooden-paneled open stairwell in the newer section.
Originally built as a villa for Philipp II Barthels, the building became a conference center in 1924 and later housed the Königswinterer Kreis of Catholic social ethicists in 1930.
The building served as accommodation for the CDU/CSU faction during the Parliamentary Council sessions in Bonn, contributing to post-war German unity development.
Following extensive renovation work completed in 2021, the former conference center now operates as a nursing home facility in Königswinter's historic district.
During the National Socialist period, the German Labor Front took control of the building and operated it as the Robert-Ley-Schule until 1945.
