The Kreuzkirche features a hall-style construction with a tower facade, a continuous transept, and a rectangular choir section within its architecture.
The current church structure underwent substantial modifications in 1901 by Dresden architect Woldemar Kandler, incorporating regional building traditions and Art Nouveau elements.
The interior space contains wooden galleries on three sides, an altar retable, a pulpit, and pews that reflect the architectural styles of the early 1900s.
The church remains open for religious services and maintains its Jehmlich organ from 1901, which contains 21 registers across two manuals and pedals.
A renovation project in 2000-2001 preserved the Art Nouveau interior design, making it one of the few churches in Dresden with this complete decorative style.
