Weingut Broel, Historic winery in Rhöndorf, Bad Honnef, Germany.
The estate features traditional German architecture with a protected residential building from 1904, extensive cellars, a pressing hall, offices, and a cooper's workshop spread across 2.5 hectares of vineyard land.
Originally acquired by the Broel family in the mid-19th century and relocated to its current site in 1905, the winery gained recognition under Karl Broel's leadership before World War I.
After Bonn became the government seat in 1949, the winery served as a meeting place for high-ranking politicians, particularly those connected to Chancellor Konrad Adenauer who lived in Rhöndorf.
Visitors can purchase wines by visiting in person, calling ahead, or placing orders via email, with options for direct pickup or DHL shipping throughout Germany.
The entrance features a historic boundary stone from the former Cologne Cathedral Chapter vineyards at Drachenfels, bearing the electoral Cologne coat of arms and a depiction of Saint Peter.
