St. Mariä Empfängnis, Gothic church in Kleve, Germany.
The Unterstadtkirche features a single side aisle and five bays in its nave, following traditional Gothic architectural principles throughout its structure.
Construction of the current church took place between 1425 and 1445, replacing an earlier structure as part of a complete monastery complex reconstruction.
The church contains choir stalls carved by Arnt von Kalkar in 1474 and received a Baroque pulpit created by Nikolaus Albers in 1698.
The church maintains regular services and holds special ceremonies during Advent season, with multiple services scheduled for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
A relic of Saint Adalbert, rescued during World War II by Urban Thelen, has been preserved in the new altar since 1992.
