Centre Français de Berlin

The Centre Français de Berlin is a cultural center and heritage monument with several event spaces spanning about 300 square meters total, accommodating up to 220 people. The rooms are equipped with modern features including audio systems, projection equipment, and natural lighting for conferences, exhibitions, and other gatherings.

The building was constructed in 1960 following the initiative of the French military government, designed by architects Gerhard Laube and Major Mahieu. Its completion marked an important moment for cultural cooperation between France and Berlin in the post-war period.

The center serves as a place where French language and culture are experienced through film screenings, exhibitions, and language classes that happen regularly. Visitors encounter French literature and see how the spaces support cultural exchange between the two neighboring countries.
