Hochschlegel

Hochschlegel is a 1,688 meter peak located in the Lattengebirge section of the Berchtesgadener Alps. The mountain has steep slopes and open views across neighboring summits and valleys throughout the surrounding landscape.

The mountain served local climbers for generations and had a chairlift running to Schlegelalm during the 20th century before that facility closed. This change reflects how mountain use in the Alps shifted over recent decades.
