Schloss Burkersdorf, Manor house in Burkersdorf, Germany
The two-story plastered building features a four-story mansard roof, a central projection with early classical portal, and an original wooden door.
The first mention of a knight's estate in Burkersdorf dates back to 1205, passing through various noble families including the Counts of Carlowitz.
The baroque residence, constructed around 1730 by Hans Carl von Carlowitz and Susanne von Seydewitz, stands on foundations of a medieval predecessor.
The property includes a preserved park on the south and west sides, containing a large pond and old tree population within stone walls.
The building underwent multiple state uses until 1994, including service as a nursing home, before returning to private ownership under Alexander von Kienlin.
