Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Haus, Historical villa in Südstadt, Germany
The Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Haus features a rectangular layout with two floors, a high hipped roof, and five-axis facades extending across 6000 square meters of land.
Built in 1819 for professor Ernst Moritz Arndt, the villa stands as the oldest Rhine residence in Bonn and remained his home until his death in 1860.
The ground floor displays original furniture and portraits from Ernst Moritz Arndt's estate, while the upper level presents authentic Biedermeier period furnishings.
Located at Adenauerallee 79, approximately 50 meters from the Rhine riverbank, the villa now functions as an extension of the Bonn City Museum.
An inscription within the door frame references a small oak grove near Arndt's birthplace in Groß Schoritz, connecting the building to his origins.
