Autobahnkreuz Gladbeck

Autobahnkreuz Gladbeck is a highway interchange that joins the A52 motorway with the existing A2 motorway in North Rhine-Westphalia. The junction allows traffic to flow directly between both routes and serves drivers traveling in multiple directions across the region.

The project grew from plans to expand the A52 motorway and create better connections between existing routes in the region. Gladbeck approved construction of this infrastructure in 2015 as part of broader regional transport development.

The intersection project reflects Germany's commitment to expanding transportation networks while considering environmental impact and local community needs.

Access to the interchange is by way of the existing A2 motorway and the developing A52, which connects with federal road B224. Those traveling through the region will notice the improved traffic flow thanks to the direct connections provided.

The site currently operates as a transition point between the Essen-Gladbeck exit and the developing A52, showing how the infrastructure gradually incorporates new routes. This phased transformation allows traffic to be managed even during construction.
