Dæmonen, Steel roller coaster in Tivoli Gardens, Denmark
Dæmonen is a floorless steel roller coaster at Tivoli Gardens that stretches 564 meters with the rider's legs dangling freely over the track below. The ride features three inversions, including a vertical loop and zero-gravity roll, while reaching speeds of 77 kilometers per hour.
The ride opened in April 2004, taking the place of the former Slangen roller coaster that previously operated at the park. This new attraction represented a major update to Tivoli's lineup and has remained a signature experience for visitors ever since.
The name Dæmonen means 'The Demon' in Danish, giving this ride an edgy character that matches its thrilling nature within one of Copenhagen's most visited entertainment spaces.
Visitors must be at least 132 centimeters tall to ride, and the entire experience lasts about two minutes. It's wise to secure loose items and pay attention to staff instructions before boarding.
The floorless design leaves rider legs dangling completely in open air throughout the journey with nothing beneath to support them. This removes any barriers to the view of the track and amplifies the sensation of moving through space without restraint.
