Det Gyldne Tårn

Det Gyldne Tårn is a drop tower ride at Tivoli and stands roughly 63 meters tall. It accommodates twelve riders across its four sides, all of whom enjoy expansive views of Copenhagen before the sudden descent begins.

The tower opened in 1999 as Tivoli introduced a new generation of modern rides to its grounds. Built by S&S Worldwide, it marked the park's shift toward more contemporary attractions.

Families come to this ride together as a milestone moment in the amusement park experience. For many children, it represents their first encounter with a high-thrill attraction in a group setting.

Expect a rapid climb followed by a sudden free fall of roughly 55 meters that creates intense sensations. Plan to ride early in the day when lines are shorter and conditions are more manageable.

A metal drill incident in 2019 prompted the ride to undergo strengthened safety procedures and updated maintenance protocols. This incident became a turning point that improved operational safety standards across the site.
