Circle Bridge, Pedestrian bridge in Christianshavn, Denmark.
The Circle Bridge features five round platforms connected by steel structures and supported by 118 metal cables across the Christianshavn Canal.
The bridge opened in August 2015 as a gift from Nordea Foundation to complete the walkable route around Copenhagen inner harbor.
Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson designed the bridge to reflect Copenhagen's maritime heritage through its masts and circular platforms.
The 32-meter structure connects Applebys Plads to Christiansbro, serving approximately 5,000 daily users including cyclists, runners, and pedestrians.
The bridge incorporates Brazilian guariuba wood rails with reverse slopes and opens mechanically to allow water vessels passage through the canal.
