Museum Ragnarock

Museum Ragnarock is a cultural museum in Roskilde dedicated to pop and rock music. The spaces feature interactive exhibitions with instruments, personal objects, and multimedia presentations about musicians and their work.

The museum opened in 2016 on the site of a former concrete production facility after winning an architectural competition in 2011. This transformation of an industrial building into a modern cultural center marked a shift in how the site was used.

The exhibitions show how music has shaped daily life and society in Denmark over different periods. Visitors encounter personal items and recordings from musicians that illustrate this cultural impact.

The museum is open daily and features spacious, clearly marked interior spaces that are easy to navigate. The exhibitions are designed to be interactive, so it is worth taking time to explore and try the different stations.

The building catches the eye with its striking facade studded with golden rivets, which sets it apart from other cultural buildings. The structure extends outward, creating sheltered space underneath for performances and events.
