Langesø

Langesø is a manor house standing next to a narrow lake in Nordfyn, featuring classical Danish architecture with symmetrical facades. The building complex is surrounded by green spaces and sits directly beside the water that gives the place its name.

The current building was constructed between 1774 and 1778, replacing an earlier structure that sank into the lake due to its heavy stone construction. This rebuild marked a shift toward more stable building methods that have preserved the manor to the present day.

The estate reflects the traditions of Danish landed nobility, with the Berner family maintaining a continuous presence across generations. Visitors experience a living connection between family, land, and community that remains visible in daily operations.
