Glavendruplunden, Archaeological park in Nordfyn Municipality, Denmark.

Glavendruplunden is an archaeological park in Nordfyn featuring a large Viking-age stone ship formation. The setting spans about 132 meters with two rows of stones, and the main stone at one end displays more than 200 carved runic characters.

Around 900 AD, a woman named Ragnhild commissioned this memorial stone to honor her husband Alle, who was a priest and leader. The stone with its many runes is one of the most important written records from the Viking period in this region.

The stone rows form a ship shape, reflecting how Norse people imagined the journey to the afterlife by sea. This layout was a meaningful way for them to honor the dead and their beliefs about what came next.

The site has a spacious bonfire shelter built in 2012 with community support, making it good for group visits. The open ground around the stone formation allows easy access and plenty of room to walk around and explore.

Additional memorial stones placed at various spots in the park mark important moments in Danish history like the 1915 Constitution, 1945 Liberation, and 1920 North Schleswig reunion. These later additions show how people over the years continued to use this place as a space for remembering significant events.
