Jægersborg Vandtårn, Former water tower apartments near Jægersborg station, Denmark
The cylindrical residential tower rises 45 meters high with reinforced concrete construction and red water tank at the top of the structure.
The tower, completed in 1955 by Rasmussen og Schiøttz, addressed water pressure needs during population growth in Jægersborg during the 1960s.
The structure represents functionalist architecture with its reinforced concrete design and gilded weathervane extending three meters above the tower.
The building contains 36 youth apartments in the upper floors, while the ground level houses an after-school activity center.
Geometric bay windows added during the 2006 renovation by Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter create distinct living spaces within the circular structure.
