Musikhuset Aarhus

The building features ten stages with acoustic designs, including the Store Sal and Symfonisk Sal, which accommodate different musical performances throughout the year.

The municipality of Aarhus commissioned architects Kjær & Richter to construct the building, which opened its doors to the public in 1982.

The venue hosts over 1500 annual events, ranging from classical symphonies and operas to contemporary concerts, supporting both Danish and international performers.

Musikhuset provides wheelchair accessibility throughout the facility and connects directly to the Royal Academy of Music through an integrated architectural design.

The complex includes a restaurant called johan r. that organizes 300 free concerts annually, adding an extra dimension to the musical experience.
