Musée du moudjahid de Batna

The Musée du Moudjahid exhibits photographs, documents, weapons, and uniforms from Algeria's fight for independence in a 780-square-meter building near the Martyrs Cemetery.

Established in 1997, this museum documents the Algerian War of Independence through artifacts and personal belongings of freedom fighters who opposed French colonial rule.

The museum's galleries present a chronological display of Algeria's history, from its early periods through the revolution of November 1954 and beyond May 1945.

Located in southeastern Batna, the museum welcomes visitors from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM and features multiple exhibition halls with historical collections and educational materials.

The museum maintains records and exhibits about Mustapha Ben Boulaid, a resistance leader who played a central role in the independence movement in the Aurès region.
