The main building of Kärstna Manor features large windows, classic architectural details, and balanced proportions characteristic of Estonian manor designs.
The estate, dating from 1678, belonged to Baltic German families before becoming the property of the Anrep family in 1740.
The manor grounds include a monument dedicated to Reinhold von Anrep, who died during the Fourth Coalition War at Mohrungen.

Architect Otto Wildau from Riga redesigned the manor, while Walter von Engelhardt created the park layout in 1904.
