Art Museum of Estonia, National art museum in Tallinn, Estonia
The Art Museum of Estonia maintains five separate exhibition venues across Tallinn, including the main Kumu building and historical Kadriorg Palace.
Founded in 1919 by the Estonian government, the museum preserves Estonian art from the 18th century through contemporary periods in multiple dedicated buildings.
The museum collection features medieval religious art at Niguliste Museum and Estonian artistic works spanning three centuries at the central Kumu location.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, with extended hours until 20:00 on Thursdays at the Kumu building.
The institution houses Johannes Mikkel's personal collection of international art pieces at the dedicated Mikkel Museum within the Kadriorg Palace complex.
