Uuslinn

Uuslinn is a residential subdistrict in eastern Tallinn composed mainly of apartment buildings and residential complexes. It also contains the headquarters building of the Estonian Maritime Administration and provides residents with local shops and services nearby.

The subdistrict grew during the 1970s and 1980s as part of Lasnamäe's rapid expansion into eastern Tallinn. Its development followed Soviet urban planning patterns that created dense residential neighborhoods with standardized high-rise buildings.

This subdistrict houses 353 residents and maintains connections to both Estonian administrative functions and the Russian-speaking population of greater Lasnamäe.

The area is well served by public transportation and located near Ülemiste shopping center with shops and restaurants. The flat terrain makes it easy to walk through or explore by bicycle.

The Estonian Maritime Administration base in Uuslinn serves as a central point for managing national maritime operations and regulations.
