Harju Gate

Harju Gate is a medieval city gate in Old Town featuring massive stone walls that form part of the fortification system. This defensive structure still encircles the medieval section and demonstrates how the city was originally protected.

The gate was built between 1448 and 1453 and served as a main entrance for merchants and travelers. It was partially removed in 1875 as the city modernized and needed new access routes.
