Pompey's Pillar is a Roman triumphal column in Alexandria, Egypt, and the largest of its type constructed outside the imperial capitals of Rome and Constantinople.
The monument was erected in 297 AD in honor of the Roman Emperor Diocletian.
Despite its name, it has nothing to do with Pompey, being instead dedicated to Diocletian.
It's located in the Serapeum of Alexandria, an ancient temple site.
