Mount Helal

Mount Helal is a summit in the Khashm ar-Rih mountain range in northeastern Egypt, reaching 910 meters above sea level. The peak dominates the local terrain and serves as a natural landmark that can be spotted from considerable distances across the surrounding desert.

The mountain became a focus of military operations by Egyptian Armed Forces during efforts to secure the region. These operations reflect its strategic location within the terrain of North Sinai.

The Tarabin and Tiyaha Bedouin tribes maintain traditional settlements near Mount Helal, which received its name from the grazing activities of camels and sheep.
