Cala Figuera, Fishing village on southeast coast, Mallorca, Spain.

Cala Figuera is a fishing village on Mallorca's southeast coast where a narrow harbor cuts deep inland. White houses line both sides of the water, and small fishing boats are moored along tight quays where the daily catch is brought ashore.

The settlement traces its roots to ancient times and grew into a maritime community shaped by fishing and seafaring activities. These economic pursuits defined its character for centuries and made it a hub for local trade and commerce.

Fishermen here continue their time-honored craft, and you can watch them mending nets and preparing boats in the early hours before heading out to sea. These daily routines give the harbor its distinctive rhythm and reveal how fishing has shaped community life for generations.

The village is easy to explore on foot since everything centers around the harbor in a compact layout with narrow, winding streets. Several waterfront restaurants offer fresh seafood, and small shops are scattered along the water's edge.

The harbor naturally splits into two canal-like waterways that cut far inland, creating separate mooring areas for fishing boats in an unusual formation. This geological feature makes it one of the few harbors of its kind on the island.
