La Felguera is the main district of Langreo municipality in northern Spain, located at 203 meters elevation. The area is home to the Museum of Siderurgy and the Valnalón technology center, serving as both a cultural and industrial hub for the region.
Pedro Duro established the Felguera Factory in 1858, transforming an agricultural area into a major center for Spanish iron and steel production. This founding moment set the region on a path of industrial growth that shaped its development for generations.
The Pinacoteca Eduardo Úrculo art gallery displays works by local and regional artists, offering visitors a chance to see contemporary pieces. The International Tales Competition brings writers and storytellers together and shapes how the place is known for supporting creative voices.
