Hotel Puerta América, Design hotel in Northern Madrid, Spain.
Hotel Puerta América is a design hotel in Madrid with twelve floors, each created by a different international architect. Rooms, restaurants, and common areas differ fundamentally from one another, as each designer has realized their own approach and artistic vision.
The hotel opened in 2005 and marked a turning point in Madrid's hospitality sector. This project brought together multiple international architects and represented an entirely new way of combining design and hospitality in the city.
Each floor tells its own story through furniture, lighting, and spatial design created by different designers. This variety lets visitors experience multiple artistic worlds in a single location.
The building features a rooftop terrace, fitness areas, conference rooms, and multiple restaurants across different floors. The location offers good public transportation connections and lies near Madrid's central areas.
A total of twelve leading international architects, from established names to rising talents, each designed an entire floor. This unusual collaboration made the project function like an architectural exhibition space under one roof.
