Fuente Grande, Renaissance fountain in Ocaña, Spain.
The rectangular structure contains two distinct areas with a main fountain section and washing facilities, featuring twenty Tuscan pilasters supporting architraved arches.
Construction of the fountain began in 1573 under Felipe II's reign, with local craftsmen Blas Hernández and Francisco Sánchez completing the project in 1578.
The fountain served as a central meeting point for residents, with separate areas dedicated to drinking water collection and clothes washing activities.
Ten water spouts flow into a stone trough, while an underground water mine extends through a 274-meter brick tunnel beneath the structure.
The washing area could accommodate three hundred women simultaneously, making it a substantial communal facility for its time period.
