Dating from the 18th century, these gardens were established during Madrid's urban development period near the San Francisco el Grande Basilica construction site.
The gardens transform into a central celebration point during San Isidro Festival in May, when locals gather for traditional music and dancing.
Visitors can reach the gardens through La Latina metro station on Line 5, with entrances located along Calle Bailén and Carrera de San Francisco.
The elevated position of Las Vistillas provides unobstructed views of Casa de Campo park and the Guadarrama mountains beyond Madrid's western horizon.
