Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Monserrate d'Oriola

The Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Monserrate d'Oriola is a baroque church built with a Latin cross plan that divides the space into a central nave and side chapels adorned with religious paintings and carved ornaments. An earthquake in 1748 damaged the previous temple on this site, leading to the construction of the current baroque building starting in 1750 and finishing in 1775. This reconstruction became a lasting symbol of faith and architectural achievement for the community.
