Convent of San Pedro Regalado, Religious sanctuary in La Aguilera, Spain
The stone monastery complex contains a main church dedicated to the Annunciation of Mary and an octagonal chapel housing multiple baroque altarpieces.
Founded in 1404 by Pedro de Villacreces, the convent received visits from Queen Isabella I of Castile who ordered an alabaster tomb for Saint Peter Regalado.
The sanctuary celebrates a religious pilgrimage every May 13th honoring Saint Peter Regalado, patron saint of both La Aguilera and Valladolid.
The religious complex opens daily from 9:00 to 21:00, offering regular masses at 8:00 on weekdays and 19:00 during weekends and holidays.
When Saint Peter Regalado's hand was removed 36 years after his death, witnesses reported fresh blood flowing from the preserved remains.
