Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, Gumiel de Izán

The Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción features three naves with different heights, ribbed vaults, and multiple chapels adorned with family coats of arms.

Built between the 14th and 17th centuries, this church incorporates elements from a 13th-century Romanesque structure, including the original tower and north facade.

The late Gothic altarpiece from the early 16th century presents sculptural groups depicting scenes from Jesus and Virgin Mary's lives through detailed carvings.

Located at Calle Aldabones 7 in Gumiel de Izán, the church contains a small museum displaying artifacts including the 12th-century Virgin of Tremello sculpture.

The baptistery houses a 15th-century baptismal font made from Espejón stone, decorated with twelve trilobite arches containing reliefs of the apostles.
