The Santa Cruz Roman villa contains ten rooms and four corridors, featuring an intricate water supply system and floor heating through underground galleries.
Located near the Roman road connecting Zaragoza, Astorga, and Braga, this villa operated during the 4th and 5th centuries within Clunia Sulpicia territory.
The central hall displays a 66 square meter mosaic depicting mythological scenes of Dionysus returning from India with Ariadne and Ampelos.
The archaeological site offers educational workshops for children between 4 and 11 years old, teaching them about Roman archaeology and mosaics.
Three sections of the main mosaic were stolen in December 2011, including a panel showing Bacchus triumphant arrival.
