Museu de Cultures del Món, Cultural museum in Gothic Quarter, Spain
The Museu Etnològic i de Cultures del Món displays over 70,000 objects representing cultural heritage from Catalonia and regions worldwide in two locations.
The museum emerged from a 2017 merger between the Ethnological Museum and World Cultures Museum, with roots dating back to 1940s institutions.
The permanent exhibition at Montcada presents 530 artifacts from Africa, Oceania, Asia, and Americas, illustrating diverse global traditions and practices.
The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00 and 19:00, with extended hours until 21:45 on Sundays and holidays.
The Montjuïc location functions as a research center where visitors can examine anthropological methodologies through interactive exhibitions and accessible collections.
