Vapor Badia

Vapor Badia is a former textile mill converted into a multi-purpose cultural center with a library spread across multiple floors. The building preserves its original factory structure with cast iron columns and modern interior spaces for different uses.

The building was founded in 1867 as a wool spinning and weaving factory by Josep Oriol Badia, becoming one of the city's largest textile mills. As the textile industry declined during the 20th century, the site was eventually repurposed as a public cultural center.

The name refers to its factory past and is now seen by locals as a symbol of transformation from industry to learning. Visitors can sense this connection through preserved architectural details that speak to the city's working heritage.
