S'Enclusa, Mountain summit in Ferreries, Spain

S'Enclusa rises 275 meters above sea level, making it the second highest peak on the island of Menorca with extensive views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The summit housed an American military base from 1965 to 1993, featuring 12 buildings spread across 2,200 square meters for communication with Middle Eastern troops.

Local residents refer to the mountain as Dalt Sa Torre due to the 18th-century watchtower that once stood at its peak to monitor maritime activities.

Visitors can reach the summit by following a 1.3-kilometer path from Ferreries, gaining 144 meters in elevation with an average gradient of 10.8 percent.

The former military installation included a distinctive green spherical water tank and tropospheric antennas that connected US forces across vast distances.
