Venta de Aragoncillo, Historical roadside inn in Aragoncillo, Spain

The Venta de Aragoncillo features thick sandstone walls, two buttresses on the main facade, and a gabled roof covered with Arabic tiles.

During the Spanish Civil War in 1937, the inn area became a military quarters and witnessed an attack against General José Moscardó.

The building follows the traditional mountain inn architecture of the region, with local stone construction and a compact distribution of rooms.

Located at kilometer 43 of the N-211 road in Corduente municipality, the structure contains separate areas for dining, storage, and animal stables.

A fire caused by a chimney spark in 1941 damaged the residence, leading to its abandonment as an inn in the 1960s.
