The Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Casbas is a hermitage with a rectangular plan and single nave decorated in Baroque style with stone walls. The sanctuary was first documented in 1341, but the current building was constructed in 1704 after demolishing an earlier temple from 1640. That previous structure rested on medieval foundations, showing how this site has been sacred ground for centuries.

The sanctuary attracts visitors who come to honor the Virgin Mary through annual pilgrimages and personal devotion. Local brotherhoods gather here to maintain centuries-old spiritual traditions that remain central to their community identity.

The hermitage sits outside Ayerbe's town center and can be reached by car or through a grand staircase that leads to the entrance. The walk upward provides visitors with a gradual approach to the sacred space.
