Keisarinmänty, Protected pine tree in Pikku-Parola, Finland
The Scots Pine tree features two main trunks measuring 418 centimeters and 300 centimeters in circumference at a height of 130 centimeters.
Emperor Alexander I visited the tree in 1819, followed by Alexander II in 1863, leading to its name Keisarinmänty, meaning Emperor's Pine.
Local traditions indicate that numerous monarchs and rulers throughout history chose this pine tree as a gathering spot for their meals.
The municipal authorities maintain the tree through regular care, including the removal of surrounding undergrowth to ensure its preservation.
Scientific measurements conducted in 2014 determined the exact height of this 400-year-old pine tree at 13.40 meters using laser technology.
