Statue of Jean Rapp

The Statue of General Rapp is a bronze figure depicting the military leader in uniform, mounted on a pedestal inscribed with commemorative text. The monument stands in the center of the city square and is visible from multiple approaches.

Sculptor Auguste Bartholdi created the statue in 1854, initially placing it in a prominent Parisian location before it relocated to Colmar two years later. The artwork endured significant wartime destruction but was fully restored afterward.
